Lifeguards

Emily Mitchell–Manager

Emily is a senior at James Madison University. She is majoring in nursing and wants to be a nurse anesthetist. She was raised overseas until she was seven years old, which is probably why she likes to travel around the world! Visiting every continent is on Emily’s “bucket list.” She also enjoys shopping and spending time with friends and family. This is her sixth year with NVPools having worked as a lifeguard, head guard, roving operator and assistant manager. Emily’s looking forward to a fun summer at Sideburn Run!

Megan Dross–Assistant Manager

Megan is a sophomore at Old Dominion University, where she is majoring in dental hygiene. She is a member of the ODU dive team and enjoys the life of a college athlete. Her favorite food is sushi. Megan looks forward to becoming a member of the NRA.

Jay Saffran–Head Guard

Jay will be a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh this fall. He currently plans to major in business. He loves swimming and his favorite food is a delicious steak! Jay loves power tools, so it’s not surprising that his favorite chore at the pool is blowing debris off the deck with the leaf blower.

Connor Scully–Senior Guard

Connor is a senior at Bishop O’Connell High School, where he is a member of the water polo team. He also is a master scuba diver. Connor is part Native American and can legally own a wolf.

Meredith Davidson–Lifeguard

Meredith is a sophomore at Clemson University, where she is a member of the rowing team. She is majoring in secondary education with a concentration in English. Meredith also is an amateur archaeologist and related to the 22nd and 24th President of the United States (can you guess who?).

Bo Ilgenfritz–Lifeguard

Bo is a junior at Woodson High School, where he is a member of the ultimate frisbee team and also played lacrosse his freshman year. He is a member of the Woodson swim team, the Fairfax Station Flyers and Machine Aquatics. He enjoys playing the X-Box and hanging out with friends. He also loves cool sunglasses and cool shoes. Bo’s looking forward to getting his license and being able to drive to work!

Grayson Williams–Lifeguard

Grayson is a senior at Woodson High School. He loves eating ice pops and doing chores around the pool. He’s also really enthusiastic about high-fiving, so make sure you try it sometime!

Luke Lloyd–Lifeguard

Luke is a senior at Robinson Secondary School. He enjoys playing ice hockey and eating. Luke loves to eat so much that he can’t even pick a favorite food–he loves it all!

Dan Dezzutti–Lifeguard

Dan will be a freshman at James Madison University in the fall. His life dream is to become an astronaut and he hopes to accomplish that goal while in college! Dan’s guilty pleasure includes Taylor Swift concerts.

Alex Saffran–Lifeguard

Alex is a junior at Woodson High School. His life consists of eating, swimming and sleeping. He prides himself on his swimmer’s body and swears that he’s had a six-pack since he was six years old!
