Dive Team Coaches

Hally Hardtke–Head Coach

Coach Hally is excited to be part of the Sideburn Run community. She is a senior at Virginia Tech, where she is studying International Business and Spanish.  She is a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and in her free time she teaches swim lessons at the gym and participates in many intramural sports. Hally was a swimmer and diver in the NVSL for many years. She is a 2008 graduate of Oakton High School. For 11 years she swam at Pinecrest Swim and Tennis Club and also was a founding member of their dive team in 2000. She coached the Pinecrest dive team for three years and was co-head coach with Andy Pratt in 2009. Hally is looking forward to another excellent season in Division 2!! Go Sharks…and Hokies!!

Andy Pratt–Head Coach

Coach Andy is a senior at Virginia Tech and proud to be a Hokie! He is pursuing a double major in Economics and Psychology. In 2009 he was a co-head coach with Hally Hardtke at Pinecrest, where he also coached for three years and was a dive team member since the program began in 2000. Andy is a 2008 graduate of Westfield High School. He dove for four years and was team captain his junior and senior years. Andy is looking forward to another exciting, fun-filled and successful summer coaching the Sharks!

Laura Gartrell–Assistant Coach

Laura Gartrell has been a Shark diver for the past 11 years. She is a graduate of Robinson Secondary School. She has been a member of the Rams Girls Dive Team for four years, finishing second in state last winter and breaking the school record. She also dives at Dominion Dive Club on the J.O. team and enjoys coaching kids to improve their diving skills. Laura will be attending The University of Virginia in the fall and will be on their Dive team. Laura is looking forward to another awesome year as a dive coach and hopes to make this season the best one yet!
